One workshop is included in the Passive and Presenting Author fee.

If you want to attend additional workshops, you can book the workshops that you like by paying the Additional Workshop fee. Each additional workshop costs 20€. Every participant can book a maximum of 3 workshops (one is included in the Passive or Presenting Author fee and you can book two additional workshops). All fees include a Certificate of Participation. All presenting authors will receive a separate MEDICS Certificate for delivering their oral or poster presentations, subject to meeting the below criteria.

You will receive the MEDICS Certificate only if you meet all the participation criteria:

Passive Participant Certificate:

1. You must have filled in the Feedback Form available in your personal account at the end of the congress in no more than 1 month;
2. You must have attended at least one keynote lecture, one conference and one oral/poster presentation session during the entire day, but the events you chose to attend must have been in the morning and in the evening as well;
3. You must have attended all the workshops that you paid for and booked.

Presenting Author Certificate:

1. You must have attended the Oral or Poster Presentations;
2. You must have filled in the Feedback Form available in your personal account at the end of the conference in no more than 1 month.

If you fail to fill in the Feedback Form during the one-month timeframe, you will not be allowed to do it afterwards and you will not receive your Certificate of Participation. Your Certificate will be stored for 5 months after the end of the conference. No certificate-related requests will be taken into consideration after this 5 month period.

If you plan to submit an Abstract, you have two payment options:

Pay the Presenting Author Fee before the Abstract Submission Deadline (25 February 2024)

1. In this case, you pay the Presenting Author Fee first. This gives you access to all the Conferences & Keynote Lectures, Oral & Poster Presentations and to one workshop of your choice. If you wish to book additional workshops, you can pay the Additional Workshop Fee.

By paying the Presenting Author Fee before the Abstract Submission Deadline, you assume full responsibility for submitting an abstract before the 25th February 2024 (23:59 GMT +2). Please note that if you fail to submit an abstract, any Workshop booking gets cancelled, your account becomes inactive and you do not get a refund.

If your abstract did not get accepted, you may still attend the conference and the workshops that you booked as a Passive Participant by paying the difference of 35 EUR between the Presenting Author Fee and General Access Fee. If you do not wish to attend the congress anymore, you can ask for a refund of your Presenting Author Fee and/or any workshop fee before the refund deadline – the 31st of March 2024 subject to our Terms & Conditions.

OR

Pay the Presenting Author or the Passive Participant Fee after the Abstract Submission Deadline (25 February 2024), but before the General Payment Deadline (31 March 2024)

2. Please note that you don’t have to pay the Presenting Author Fee to submit an abstract. If you submit an abstract, you can postpone the payment until after we announce the list of accepted abstracts, but you won’t be able to pay and add any workshops until then. If your abstract gets accepted, you have to pay the Presenting Author Fee before the 31st of March 2024 (23:59 GMT +2). If your abstract doesn’t get accepted, but you still want to take part in MEDICS, you have to pay the Passive Participant Fee before the 31st of March 2024 (23:59 GMT +2). IF you paid the Passive Participant Fee but you no longer want to take part in MEDICS 2024, THEN you can get a full refund minus the handling fee of 5€ if you send us a request before the 31st of March 2024.

Please notice that if you ask for a refund of your Presenting Author Fee your abstract will no longer appear in the Abstract book and you will no longer be able to take part in the Oral or Poster Presentation competition.

IF you booked one or two additional Workshop(s) and it/they got cancelled because of the MEDICS 2024 organising team (changes in location, timetable or trainer are NOT included), THEN you can choose one of the available places at another Workshop OR you can get a refund of the Additional Workshop Fee only.

If you choose to take part in another Workshop, no refunds will be offered.
