
Ioana Mindruta
Doctor Ioana Mîndruță is a renowned neurologist that specializes in the intricate study and treatment of epilepsy. She uses electrophysiology techniques such as electroencephalography and electromyography to decipher the pathophysiology of epilepsy. She also specializes in pain management and in the study of sleep.
Having worked together with Irina Oane, MD, PhD and Andrei Barborica, Prof., PhD, doctor Ioana Mîndruță is now going to introduce us to the incredible world of epilepsy - its pathways, its treatment and everything in between!
Assoc. Prof. Ioana Mîndruță is affiliated with the University Emergency Hospital Bucharest, Epilepsy Monitoring Unit, National Program for Drug Rezistant Epilepsy. She is also a member of the Romanian Neurology Society Committee, Vice President of the Romanian Society of Neurophysiology and Hospital Coordinator of National Programmes for Rare Diseases and Pharmacoresistant Epilepsy.
Doctor Ioana Mîndruță has undergone specialized training in world-renowned centers from France, Germany, Italy and Sweden, and is now passing the knowledge through her teaching at the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest. She is a pioneer in the field of pharmacoresistant epilepsy, implementing state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment options, including mapping of the epileptogenic zones of the patient’s brain.
